The Foundation is an educational charity founded by the Theosophical Society in England.  It promotes the Unity of all People and encourages an understanding of this through the study of Theosophy and the exploration of religion, philosophy and science.  The Foundation’s aim is:

To help people understand and discover the essential truths at the heart of all philosophy, science and spirituality, especially the fundamental unity of all people”.

We are a non-sectarian organisation, part of a worldwide theosophical community which welcomes people of all ages and gender, all cultures and social backgrounds, and from all religions or none.  Committed to a search for truth in all things, mutual understanding and freedom of thought.

There are many uniting principles in all the great religions, esoteric teachings, philosophies and sciences of the world, and a study of Theosophy shows we are all one family.

Theosophy is not a religion.  Its esoteric teachings encompasses the hidden wisdom in philosophy, science and religion; exploring the inner reality of life, the Laws of Nature, the powers latent in man and the Theosophical Principles of evolution and perfectibility.

Throughout the Foundation’s programme of activities you will find not only information for the mind but also inspiration for the heart.  These events provide a beautiful oasis for meeting fellow spiritual travellers, as well being a great opportunity for learning more about the essential truths of life.  The Foundation is able to provide a few bursaries for approved activities and occasional grants may be available to help organise appropriate activities.

The Theosophical Society in England has provided support through annual gift aid and many members of the Society give their time by volunteering to run Foundation activities or serve on its Board of Trustees.  The Theosophical Society is active in many countries worldwide.
